The Carnegie Adolescent Rugby Research (CARR) Conference: Applying Research into Practice

CARR Conference: Applying Research into Practice

On 24th January 2016 The School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University hosted a conference to share the latest research in the field of Rugby, with an emphasis on practical applications.

In recent years, there has been an emphasis on developing young rugby players in the pursuit of sporting excellence. This has resulted in an increase in the application of development programmes and has allowed practitioners and academics to research associated areas.

The themes of the conference are:

  • Holistic development of the Rugby Player
  • Nutrition for the Rugby Player
  • Physical Development of Rugby Players
  • Monitoring Training and Understanding Match Play
  • Identifying and Developing Talent
  • Planning and reviewing your Coaching

Below are selected research outputs published by staff in The School of Sport alongside related Library resources.
