General Election 2015: Welcome

Leeds Beckett and the General Election of 2015

With the dissolving of Parliament on the 27th March, the General Election contest is up and running. Polls are already showing that this is going to be a closely fought election with no party at this point predicted to gain an overall majority. Will any party reach the magic number of 326 constituences? What role will the smaller parties play? Will we have a Hung Parliament? What role will traditional and social media play in the election? Will there be any more instances of microphone faux pas? Whatever the outcome, the next few weeks promise to be an exciting time for politics and the only way you are guaranteed to have your say is to vote.

From art to architecture, economics and health, politics reaches into every aspect of our lives as can be seen below by the vast research conducted by academics at Leeds Beckett.
