LGBT History Month

This page celebrates LGBT History Month; a national event for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. This year the theme is Citizenship, PSHE and Law, as we mark the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of male homosexuality in England and Wales.

There will be Campus Pride events held by the Student's Union with a selection of panels, debates, activities and a community marketplace.

On 22nd meet & listen to writer Rosie Garland  on 26th join in at Hyde Park Picture House with a screening of 4 films in their 'Out and About in Shorts' event in association with our University's DisrUPt research programme

Leeds Beckett is celebrating achieving success in 2017 by reaching 95th place in the Stonewall's Top 100 Workplace Equality Index.

This index is seen internationally by employers as a way of measuring 'gay-friendliness' in the workplace. Leeds Beckett University's staff and students continue to work together to ensure an inclusive place for study and work for all. Watch the latest film from Stonewall and take up the No Bystanders pledge.
