Leeds Beckett University is celebrating 50 years of Speech and Language Therapy with a series of events on Wednesday 9th September from 2pm in the Rose Bowl. Since the course commenced in 1965 at the Leeds Technical College, over 2000 speech and language therapists have completed their professional education and training with us. During the last 50 years, the course and it's staff have played a key role in the delivery and development of speech and language therapy education and research. Activities include a tour of the University's specialist facilties, as well as workshops investigating the use of new technologies and apps, highlighting how these can potentially transform future practice.
