Symplectic Elements is a research management system that collects all your research activity in one place. All members of staff have a Symplectic account which is accessed using your standard user name (e.g. smith04) and password. Postgraduate research students can request a Symplectic account by contacting openaccess@leedsbeckett.ac.uk
The Leeds Beckett Repository provides open access to research outputs at the University, as required by funders and permitted by publishers and copyright law. It manages the full text (Word/PDF) files uploaded from Symplectic and is the external, online collection of Leeds Beckett research outputs.
When research is available to download from the Repository, it can be found through search engines and accessed by anyone, increasing the views and potential impact of the research. Each record has a short URL enabling easy sharing and download statistics are also available.
