The Library

Reading lists

Your lecturers have created a bespoke reading lists to support each of your modules. These contain books, articles and other relevant materials and are a great place to start your research.

You can find them in MyBeckett.

Research Support

A range of support for researchers is available from the Library, including advice on information sources, open access publishing, journal rankings and metrics, and unique digital identifiers such as ORCiD.

Once you have explored the general information on these subject pages and the Library's Research page, please contact your Academic Librarian if you would like to book a one-to-one appointment to discuss the information aspects of your PhD, master's thesis or other piece of independent research.

Other help available for Playwork

Remember that in addition to these pages on Playwork, you might also find useful information on other Library subject pages, which include Art Therapy, PsychologyEducation and Childhood, among other potentially helpful options.

Information is also available on employability skills and skills for learning, with further advice on more general issues available from the Leeds Beckett Student Hub and the Students' Union.

If you are on an eligible distance learning course, you may also wish to register for Offsite support.

Introduction to the Library

If you have not yet attended a Library induction, or just need a refresher on Library services, you may wish to view this fifteen minute tutorial, which offers an overview of the available support and resources, from how to access ebooks and journals to assistance with study skills.

It should help you to use the Library - but if you have any questions, please do contact us.

There is also an online tutorial to help with referencing.
