Welcome to the Leeds Beckett Library web pages for Research Services in the Library.
Here you will find information about resources, keeping up-to-date and managing information, and how the Library can support your research.
Research Services can help you with:
As well as these online support pages, videos and help guides, we offer a wide range of training and are happy to meet with you for a one-on-one chat, a more formal training presentation or workshop, or a group session with you and your colleagues.
Your Academic Librarian can help you with:
Your staff profile is used to promote your research on the Leeds Beckett website. It features your photo and information about you, your current teaching and your research interests. For an example, please click the image of Professor Sue Backhouse's profile below.
You can provide or update this information by completing this online form.
(Please note that this information is not managed by the Library. If you have any queries about your profile you will need to liaise with your faculty marketing representative and the Digital Development team.)
All members of staff have a Symplectic account, just log in using your standard Leeds Beckett username and password. Visit our help page for more information about how to display your publications on your staff profile or get in touch.
You can view your publications from Symplectic as they will appear on your staff profile (useful if you have made any changes).
Visit this prototype feed page and input your Leeds Beckett email address.
Your page will normally be refreshed overnight to reflect any changes. Please contact us if you would like the change to be reflected more quickly.
Pro-Study is a study tool that collects and organises your research in a single click.
Simply highlight text from websites, PDFs, Microsoft Word and just about anywhere else, then categorise into your own research topics by saving it into your personalised colour coded category tabs.
Pro-Study provides quick hyperlinks back to the original websites. It also allows you to export this research as either a whole project or as individual categories into Microsoft Word or your favourite Mindmapping software with all of the referencing done for you in the required style and format.
MATLAB is designed for engineers and scientists who require platforms that let them explore, express new ideas and solve difficult problems. It allows researchers to analyse and visualise data from files, applications, web services, and devices.
Extensive support is provided through the MATLAB website.
