The Library: Office 365

OneDrive Leeds Beckett is your individual file storage. With OneDrive Leeds Beckett you can access and share your documents, photos, and other files from your Apple or Windows device, (PC or  Mac), and any other devices you use. Key features:

• Use the Office 365 mobile Apps to stay productive and work together, no matter where you are.
• The OneDrive app for your personal device lets you easily work with your personal and work files when you're on the go.
• Quickly open and save files in Office apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote to your OneDrive Leeds Beckett account.
• Easily find photos thanks to automatic tagging.
• Get notifications when a shared document is edited.
• Share albums of your favourite photos and videos.
• Highlight, annotate, and sign PDFs in your OneDrive Leeds Beckett.
• Access your most important files offline.

To open a document from OneDrive Leeds Beckett:

• Open the relevant Office 365 program, eg Microsoft Word.
• You will then see a list of “Recent Documents” that may contain items from your OneDrive Leeds Beckett that you are currently working on.
• There is also an option to “Open other Documents” where you can select your OneDrive Leeds Beckett folder and see all the documents that are saved there.
• Be aware that on campus machines may take a moment to synch with your OneDrive Leeds Beckett account. Simply wait a few minutes and it will connect.
• If the folder is not appearing, there will also be a OneDrive Leeds Beckett folder on File Explorer that can be accessed (you must already be logged).

OneDrive Leeds Beckett will automatically save your work to the cloud when changes are made. However it is recommended that you save your work periodically (every 10 minutes or so) onto another storage device, for example a USB, just to be sure that your work is safe.

You can also upload files and folders to OneDrive Leeds Beckett to save your work. You can copy or move files between folders within OneDrive Leeds Beckett, or from other folders on your computer. When you move files, you're removing them from your PC and adding them to OneDrive Leeds Beckett. Drag files from the file list in the right pane to OneDrive Leeds Beckett in the left pane.
