The Leeds Beckett RemoteApp gives you access to a wide range of software applications when you are working away from university on any device with an internet connection. If you are on-campus, please log into a fixed PC or loan laptop to use our specialist software.
Whether you need to use the Adobe suite, analyse data with SPSS or plan a piece of work with mind mapping software RemoteApp gives you free access to the software you need when and where you want to use it.
You can currently access the RemoteApp service through a web browser.
RemoteApp requires multi-factor authentication (MFA). This means that when you sign into RemoteApp you will receive a notification to authenticate as you do for most other university systems. However, unlike other systems you will not get a prompt on-screen, you will just receive an authentication request through the app
Please note: There are only two authentication methods compatible with RemoteApp: The Microsoft Authenticator App using a notification or a phone call. If you have text message or one-time use codes set as your default method, you will need to change this to access RemoteApp as these methods will not work.
Learn more about MFA and how to update your default methods on the multi-factor authentication webpage.
