The Library: University Staff

Resources for your teaching

You can request books, eBooks and other Library resources for your teaching by updating your module's reading list. Once you Publish or send your list to Review, the Library will look through the resources and order those not currently available. Find out how to do this on the Reading List System instructions. You can also obtain copyright advice and have material digitised for your modules from the University’s Copyright and Digitisation Service.

If you would like a book adding to Library stock that is for more general/background reading, then use the Request It! option as outlined below.

Online reading list research

Library staff have explored staff and student experiences with the Online Reading List system to better understand what’s working well and what could be improved. Find out more about the insights obtained, alongside advice on best practice, summaries of student feedback and links to training and guides at our pages on the Online Reading List Project.

Books and articles for your own research

If you would like a book or journal article for your own research that we don't have at LBU, please use our Request It! Service.

Please note that if your research involves a systematic review or major literature review that requires a large number of resources, we ask that you build some costs into the funding bid for provision of requests. For more information see our FAQ: How does the Library support Systematic Reviews?
